Most circulated 1934D $10 bills are still worth very close to face value. They are just too common and available to be worth much more than $10. Uncirculated examples and star notes will command a premium. 1934D $10 star notes were issued for all twelve Federal Reserve districts.
***Please do not call about your 1934D $10 bill unless the serial number ends with a star symbol***
Remember that the series letter refers to the letter listed after or below 1934 as seen below. It has nothing to do with the letter that begins or ends the serial number.
Series of 1934D green seal ten dollar bills were signed by Georgia Neese Clark as the Treasurer of The United States and by John W. Snyder as the Secretary of the Treasury.
As with most ten dollar bills, the series of 1934D ten dollar bill has a picture of Alexander Hamilton on the front and The U.S. Treasury on the back of it. All series of 1934D ten dollar bills were printed in Washington DC.
Series of 1934D $10 bills with a green seal are called Federal Reserve Notes. As such they have the following nomenclature on them: “This Note Is Legal Tender For All Debts, Public And Private, And Is Redeemable In Lawful Money At The United States Treasury, Or At Any Federal Reserve Bank.” And “Federal Reserve Note The United States Of America Will Pay To The Bearer On Demand Ten Dollars” – “The United States of America Ten Dollars” And keep in mind that nothing from 1934 will ever say “In God We Trust”.
